Camina is a small bar and restaurant located in the foyer of an old cinema in Whangamatā. Rowan and Barend approached me to design their brand identity, drawing inspiration from film noir, Hollywood, Italian cinema, and the hand-drawn styles of artists like Matisse and Picasso. My goal was to create a brand that felt both artistic and organic, yet versatile enough to be consistently applied across various mediums.
Working closely with Rowan and Barend, two distinct yet creative minds, we spent countless hours discussing films, music, and the emotions they wanted Camina to evoke. Through these conversations, I was able to capture the unique essence they envisioned for Camina, blending their individual and collective inspirations into a cohesive brand identity.
